1. the world longs to see christ jesus.
so stand humbly and proclaim his name.
why do we not show compassion
to the poor and the needy?
it is the beginning of the loss of the soul on this earth.
2. to serve god, we are double-minded—
we start to follow worldly things instead.
even at home, among siblings, there is only argument.
our bodies sit, but the spirit is filled with emptiness.

the fullness of christ jesus must shine.
humble yourself and serve only him.
life is being wasted in futile pursuits.
return to god, even if tears are falling.
3. the church is weakening; the home is broken.
parents and children are becoming divided.
how can god dwell in our hearts
when pride and injustice rule? god is displeased.
4. why is our spiritual life declining?
we begin to lust after the riches of the world.
the faithful are confused—why is this happening?
they no longer desire to worship and pray in church.
bridge/exhortation:
those who are filled with christ will face many trials.
but stand firm. he understands deeply.
he is near to the humble and never abandons them.
5. the farmer, who toils daily in his simple work,
has one desire—to please god.
though he faces many hardships, he rejoices in the lord.
the fullness of christ shines clearly in him.
