joy from beginning to end
is the relationship i have with you.
it’s wonderful and incomparable,
the place you gave to this unworthy one.
when you, jesus, are with me,
my heart is filled with safety.
when your presence goes before me,
i am filled with overwhelming joy.
this world and my flesh
made me utterly useless.
all my corrupted deeds
turned me into a state of death.
but my jesus, my lord, your friendship
removed me from the cursed path.
joining me with eternal life,
you transformed me into a banner of victory.
without light, how can i become wise?
without explanation, how can i understand?
without the right moment, can i receive a gift?
without guidance, can i reach the goal?
your presence keeps me standing,
providing all these as your gifts.
my heart is filled with peace,
never will i forget the help that came from you.
